Sports 31 Banwen 17

The Sports continued their recent good form when they ran in 5 tries to beat their visitors easily. Three tries came from Michael 'Mitch' John who punched his way through the fragile visitors defence with Townley feeding him well. There was another excellent opening try for Jamie Lorrimer who ran through three defenders to set up the Sports on the way to another win.

The try of the game and of the season was started on the right wing by Scott Narbeth who carved his way accross field from deep in the Sports half beating 5 or 6 defenders before offloading to Ryan Wallis who ran on, passed to Chris Morgan who in turn found his half back partner Nathan Townley in support. Townley widened the attack further and after feeding 'Mitch' he looped with him ran through the centres, switched the ball from the left wing inside to Richard Byrne to cut back and score half way out. Townley converted and the game was going the way the Sports had hoped. With 10 minutes left the sports were 31-3 infront with a bonus point safely earnt.

Banwen had struck a penalty by Mike Smith but did not look like scoring untill the last few minutes when skipper, Neil Llewelyn chipped over the Sports and gathered to score a good try. The final points went to Banwen in final minute in the form of a penalty try when Llewellyn was impeeded on route to the line.
